Senza lasciare traccia (Leaving No Trace, 2016)
The film is a disturbing noir on a terminally ill man who looks for revenge against the men who abused him as a child. Shot on 16mm and loaded with cinephile references (Altman, Fulci, Avati), this is a rare gem from Italian indie cinema.
The recently released DVD has English subtitles, and bonus features include two bonus short films by Cappai, also with subtitles.
You can find it on Amazon.it.

Domani si balla! (Tomorrow We Dance, 1982) by Maurizio Nichetti

This forgotten film is a sci-fi comedy that predates Cocoon (1985): some aliens are spreading dancing fever on the Earth, throught a strange hypnotic music. Two unlikely TV journalists investigate about the retirement home where the contagion began.
Maurizio Nichetti is one of the most original Italian comedians, since his style is deeply influenced by Jacques Tati and cartoons (he worked for many years as a gagman for Bruno Bozzetto, also appearing in Allegro non troppo).
First time ever in home video, this DVD features English subtitles and several bonus, including a storyboard comparison and a photogallery. You can find it on Amazon.it or Amazon.de.

Pigeon Shoot (1961) by Giuliano Montaldo, a long-unavailable classic war movie, recently restored and screened at Venice 2019. The film chronicles the last days of the Mussolini's Republic of Salò, as seen through the eyes of a young fascist soldier. This approach was source of great controversy and the film soon disappeared. For a few years Montaldo devoted himself to more genre-oriented projects (Grand Slam, Machine Gun McCain), before gaining critical success with his 1970s political cinema hits (Sacco and Vanzetti, And Agnes Chose to Die).
The all-region BD/DVD combo features a new 4K restoration from original negative, an exclusive interview with director Giuliano Montaldo (27 min.) and a photogallery. English and French subtitles. You can find it at Amazon.it.

Thank you for presenting this interesting movie. Do you perhaps have any idea about the subtitles of the linked DVD?
