In the early 1970s, the giallo genre exploded, not least due to the huge success of Dario Argento‘s directorial debut, L‘uccello dalle piume di cristallo (The Bird with the Crystal Plumage). A large number of titles were produced in a short space of time, including many classics and many small and obscure films, some of which are almost forgotten today.
