Habe ich mir auch besorgt. Habe ein wenig hier und da reingelesen und muss sagen: Tolles Buch! was mir besonders gefällt ist, dass es nicht wie andere Werke streng nach Ländern aufgeteilt ist, sondern einfach chronologisch, über die Ländergrenzen hinweg vorgeht. Einziger "Schwachpunkt", wenn man so will: Es geht "nur" um Italien, Spanien, Frakreich und Deutschland. Skandinavien oder Osteuropa kommen nicht vor. Das wäre wohl dann bei einem Buch auch zuviel gworden.

mich aht das Buch jedenfalls so sehr überzeugt, dass ich mir auch gleich Rigbys "English Gothic" besorgt habe. Das gab es bei Thalia.de für 20 Euro - und ich hatte von denen noch einen 15%-Gutschein. "English Gothic" gefällt mir auch sehr gut. Schade, dass Rigbys "American Gothic" mittlerweile OOP und nur noch zu mondpreisen erhältlich ist.

Ich hab grade geguckt, neu gibt es AMERICAN GOTHIC für nur 2808 Euro. Gebraucht nur 118....
Desweiteren schrieb er ein Buch STUDIES IN TERROR - LANDMARKS OF HORROR CINEMA, erhältich zu Normalpreisen.
