auch das ist heute gekommen und nach dem ersten Schmöckern auch als sehr gelungen empfunden. Wer so wie ich bei der Obskurskala keine Grenzen kennt, ist mit dem umfangreichen Buch auch sicher gut beraten und darf munter auf Entdeckungsreise gehen. Es werden zwar einige Bereiche (Giallo, Edgar Wallace, Cat.III-Horror) abgedeckt, die in anderen Publikationen zwar ausführlicher behandelt werden, dafür geht es in Steven Jay Schneiders Buch mit zahlreichen Essays anderer Autoren auch wirklich einmal quer über den Globus und wieder retour. Von A wie Austria über Brasilien, Japan, Türkei, Philippinen bis hin zu Ländern, von denen ich als Geografie-Genie noch nie etwas gehört habe. Paul Naschy hat sogar sein eigenes Kapitel, das von dem etwas unsäglichen Todd Tjersland geschrieben wurde und sowieso und überhaupt geb ich das nicht mehr her. Wer das Buch so wie ich zum vernünftigen Preis vor die Linse bekommt, sollte zuschlagen. Fabpress bürgt eben für Qualität!
